Can you negotiate travel prices with expedia.com, priceline.com, hotels.com, etc..?I'll be taking a trip soon, and was wondering if haggling is possibel.

A lot of these Internet companies had a lot of money when they started. They were just throwing money at the business convinced that online was the next gold rush.
Of course history has shown that the majority of these companies failed. But some stayed around.
While I wasn't privy to the meetings personally, my guess is that they approached the major hotel chains, airlines etc and convinced them that they were going to be doing a lot of serious advertising and finding all kinds of customers for them. In exchange for a small discount and possibly a fee they would provide those customers to the other company.
With good sales people and a robust looking company plan, they probably were able to convince them that the plan was sound.
In my experience, it is usually cheaper, definitely.
